Today is Papamocani Ekadasi. Ekadasi is the dearest day of Lord Krishna. It falls on the eleventh day of the waning and waxing fortnight of every lunar month in the Hindu calendar. In ancient Vedic scriptures Lord Krishna informs that He grants unlimited spiritual credits to anyone who observes the Ekadasi fast. How to observe Ekadasi ? One should refrain from eating grains and beans on this day. One can honor milk, fruits and other non-grain foodstuffs which are first offered to Lord Krishna. Such a fast pleases Krishna very much.
